Toddler – Learning Project: My Colourful Bird (Day 5)
After completing their bird prototypes based on their unique designs, Toddler students proudly presented their My Colourful Bird creations to their classmates and teachers. The session began with a fun warm-up activity where the children pretended to be birds, flapping their wings and flying around the classroom while singing a cheerful song about birds. This playful activity set a positive tone and prepared them for the main event.
One by one, the students took turns presenting their prototypes. They confidently described the shape of their bird’s head, the colors of its body, wings, and tail, and demonstrated how they created the bird’s crown by crumpling wax paper. They also explained how they added details like googly eyes and a carefully crafted beak, proudly showcasing their creativity and effort.
This activity was designed to build children’s confidence in expressing their ideas while strengthening their language skills through speaking and answering questions. It also fostered a sense of respect and appreciation for others’ work, as students practiced sitting nicely and listening attentively to their peers’ presentations.
The session not only celebrated the students’ creativity and achievements but also supported the development of important skills such as communication, active listening, and self-expression. It was a delightful way to wrap up the project, with students leaving the classroom feeling proud and inspired. ***
