Toddler – Entry Point: To the Rescue
In the second semester, toddler students began their first theme with a fun role-play activity. They discovered a mysterious secret box that belonged to a Superhero. Suddenly, a character named Mighty Freeze appeared and took the box, motivating the students to work together to find it.
Once they recovered the box, the students were excited to explore its contents, which included superhero items like a mask, cape, and belt.
After finding the box, they created their own superhero masks using colorful paint and sequins. Some students shared their designs and explained their choices, which helped them practice communication skills and improve their fine motor abilities.
This role-playing activity offered a valuable learning experience, combining exploration, creativity, and teamwork to help students develop essential skills. As they worked together to find the mysterious box, they practiced communication, problem-solving, and emotional regulation, learning how to cooperate, share ideas, and manage their feelings. The creative aspect, including designing their own superhero masks, further enhanced their fine motor skills. Additionally, the activity inspired students to reflect on how superheroes encourage positive behaviours, motivating them to think about how they can help others and apply similar qualities in their everyday lives.
