Toddler – Entry Point: Animal Rescuers
To kick off the Animal Rescuers unit, Toddler students were invited to engage in a fun, imaginative play session as animal rescuers, tasked with helping sick animals in need. They eagerly followed bear, dog, and giraffe footprints leading to the playground, where they discovered animal dolls in need of care. Full of excitement, the students lovingly brought the animals to the rescue center, where they cleaned them and checked if they needed medicine. Through these activities, the students had the opportunity to develop empathy and become more aware of their surroundings, while also honing their cognitive skills by thinking critically about how to help the animals. ***
