Secondary: The Grand Champion of the English Competition at SMA 3 Surakarta
On Saturday, 14 June 2025, seven talented students from Secondary 1 took part in the English competition held at SMA 3 Surakarta. That was the first experience for most of them. Six students competed in the Spelling Bee, while one participated in the Storytelling category.
Four of the Spelling Bee participants — Grishelda Chang, Kenzie Rajendra Suryo, Jaycee Estelle, and Rosabella Cantique Purnomo — advanced to the final round. Gisela Evangeline Crescencia Huang, who participated in the Storytelling category, also secured a spot in the finals.
At the end, Jaycee won 1st place and Grishelda earned 3rd place in the Spelling Bee. Meanwhile, Gisela achieved 2nd place in Storytelling. That was a remarkable accomplishment as Focus Independent School was named the Grand Champion of the competition. Congratulations to all the participants for their hard work and dedication. ***
