They explored the area in groups to learn the history of Media in Indonesia. The visit, which included interactive activities and guided tours, gave the students a unique opportunity to engage with Indonesia’s rich media history.
The exploration began with a tour of the exhibition room, where students were introduced to various examples of magazines or newspapers that depicted the development of the press in Indonesia. From ancient printing machines to rare newspaper editions from the colonial era, the students were able to observe first-hand the significant milestones in the history of Indonesian journalism. The museum’s exhibits offered a comprehensive overview of how print media has evolved from its humble beginnings to its current digital form.
One of the highlights of the visit was the section dedicated to the legacy of the press from earlier times. Here, the students learned about the pioneers of Indonesian journalism and their contributions to the nation’s fight for independence. Through interactive displays and multimedia presentations, they learned about the evolution of broadcasting, the rise of television and radio, and the impact of digital technology on journalism.
