Secondary – School Orientation: Bakesbangpol Session
Be wise, smart, and ethical in using social media! With a good understanding of digital literacy, the millennial generation is supposed to be more selective in sorting information. They are expected not to be easily fooled by hoaxes that are often shared in society. That is the message conveyed by Dr. Adriana Grahani Firdausy who was present at Secondary last Thursday. She is a lecturer at the Fakultas Hukum, Sebelas Maret University, and a representative of MAFINDO (Indonesian Anti-Slander Society).
In the session, she shared a lot of beneficial information with Secondary students about the importance of using social media wisely. As part of digital citizens, students must understand that not all information spread by the media is true. In this activity, students were also invited to check the truth of the information by getting to know the fact-checking tool. The presentation of interesting material and games provided by the resource person made students enthusiastic and excited to receive information. ***
