Secondary Level: The Visit of “I Can” and EF Academy
Secondary level received a visit from the representatives of “I CAN” and EF Academy last week. They came to share their study abroad learning program to our Secondary 2 and 3 students.
The speaker started the presentation by sharing his experience living in New York and its satellite cities. He also mentioned some of his colleagues who live there as foreign students learning under the EF Academy. Students showed positive response upon the sharing session since it did not only focus on the programs but also how foreign students adapt to the real life condition.
During the session, students raised some questions on how to adapt with the culture and way of living in foreign country as well as how would the academy provide treatment when students face learning difficulties. The venue was warm with the discussion. The response given by the speaker opened up Secondary students perspectives how studying abroad looks like.Knowledge may come from anyone and anywhere. School determines to select and provide students with exposure that widen their perspective about their future live. By doing so, students will be more accustomed to find out their needs which are closer to them.
