Secondary Level: Students Share Learning During Subject Presentations
The recent Subject Presentations (SubPre) gave students a great opportunity to lead the conversation in their classrooms. Throughout the day, students were actively involved in presenting their work and did a solid job sharing what they had prepared. They also handled the Q&A sessions well, providing clear answers to the various questions asked by both teachers and parents.
A key part of this event was seeing the students work on their conceptual understanding of the topics. While they are still practicing how to explain the “WHY” behind the information, they showed progress in organising the facts they have learned. Successfully presenting these details to an audience helped them become more familiar with the material and build confidence in their academic work.
The event was also supported by a high level of parent participation. Instead of just watching, parents were involved by asking questions and sharing their appreciation for the students’ efforts. This supportive atmosphere gave students a chance to hear direct feedback, making the presentation day a helpful and encouraging experience for everyone involved.
