Secondary: Learning Celebration
Celebrating learning is believed to have a significant and positive impact on the students’ memory, motivation, and cognitive functions. Therefore, Focus Independent School has set an event called ‘Learning Celebration’ that is conducted regularly at the end of the semester. In this semester, the learning project was done on Friday, 15 December 2023.
The students and teachers celebrated the success of learning by looking back on their education journey throughout the semester. Students performed what they got from learning: modern dance, extracurricular activity; ‘musikalisasi puisi’, Bahasa Indonesia; fashion show, Project Based Learning; drawing, and music. They also watched their great creations in English lessons such as the advertisement and travel tips videos.
This time, the students had the learning celebration with the Primary students in the Primary building. It allowed the students to have a new experience in celebrating their learning. Students enjoyed the learning celebration. They were enthusiastic in preparing for the learning celebration. Hopefully, all of this will provide praise and positive reinforcement to students and further will improve the student’s motivation in learning. ***
