Secondary: Healthy Fruits Activity
“Hello, Healthy People!”—that cheerful greeting echoed throughout our Secondary environment as students participated in our special healthy food initiative. To promote nutritious habits and celebrate the importance of fruit in our diets, students were invited to bring along their favorite fruits in portions that suited them.
The result was a vibrant display of color and variety: shiny apples, ripe bananas, juicy grapes, refreshing orange slices, sweet watermelon, and even exotic dragon fruit. During snack and lunchtime, students happily enjoyed their fruit selections, often sharing with their friends and sparking curiosity about fruits some hadn’t tasted before.
This simple activity turned into a meaningful lesson about wellness, generosity, and trying new things. By bringing fruit to school, students not only boosted their daily intake of essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber—they also experienced the joy of making healthy choices together.
Promoting fruit consumption in a school setting helps create a positive and supportive environment around food. When healthy habits are encouraged and modeled among peers, it sets the foundation for long-term well-being. With this small yet impactful step, our students are learning that taking care of their bodies can be both delicious and fun! ***
