Secondary – English: SMP Warga Speech Contest
FIS Secondary sent three students to join the SMP Warga Speech Contest, entitled ‘My School, My Pride.’. Among all the participants joining the first round, there were 10 students selected to go to the final round, 3 (three) were from SMP Focus Independent School.
In the final round, three students were taken to be the winners. Ixhel Cantik Bella Lanonda from Secondary 3 level was the second winner of the contest (it was her first time joining a speech contest) and Kirana Larasati Kartiko from Secondary 2 was the third winner in the contest.
In the process, the students learned to create a good script, considering the audience to make meaningful content. Besides, the contest has given the students the opportunity to improve their public speaking skills, mental toughness, time management, and many more. ***
