Secondary – Canon Visit: A Photography Workshop Enhances Students’ Skills
Our school recently held a special event where representatives from Canon conducted a photography workshop for our students. The session was designed to give them a deeper understanding of the art of photography. The Canon speaker began by explaining the essence of photography, not just as a hobby, but as an important medium for capturing stories, emotions and precious moments. Students were encouraged to appreciate the meaning and value behind every single shot.
During the session, the speaker shared several useful photography techniques. He introduced fundamental principles like the Rule of Thirds, a compositional guideline that helps create more balanced and visually appealing images. The speaker also shared other practical tips that the students could immediately apply. The students’ enthusiasm was evident as they asked numerous questions, showing a strong curiosity for the subject. This interactive discussion made the learning atmosphere lively and enjoyable.
The highlight of the event was a hands-on practice session. Canon provided a number of cameras for the students to use, allowing them to try out the techniques they had just learned.
