Secondary – Break The Routine: Responsibility

Secondary – Break The Routine: Responsibility

As part of the Break The Routine event, Secondary students participated in a special activity with the theme: Responsibility in collaboration with Wellness day program. The day began with the teacher’s explanation about the importance of being responsible, especially during the teenage years, both at school and in daily life.

Following the introduction, students worked collaboratively in groups to create a variety of finger foods. Each member was expected to take an active role, whether in preparing ingredients, managing the cooking process or arranging the final presentation. Importantly, students were also tasked with cleaning up after the activity, reinforcing the idea that responsibility includes completing tasks thoroughly and maintaining shared spaces. In addition to presenting their food creations, each student reflected on their specific role within the group and how they contributed to the overall success of the team. This process encouraged accountability, teamwork, and self-awareness.

In conclusion, the teacher and the students participated in a collaborative reflection session. They collectively recognized important lessons, including the significance of teamwork, accountability, and the necessity of meeting responsibilities in daily life. This valuable activity allowed students not only to have a creative and engaging experience but also to enhance their comprehension of responsibility as a vital character trait. ***
