Secondary 3 – Visual Arts: Caricature
Secondary 3 students made Caricature creation themed “My Idols”. They were asked to choose one of their idols and draw it in the form of a Caricature. At the beginning of the lesson, the teacher recalls the students’ memories about the basic techniques of drawing Caricatures.
Then, they were asked to explore through the internet to find the Caricature references of their idols and draw them on drawing paper. In the next meeting, they started to color it using colored pencils. In addition, they were asked to apply layering and burnishing coloring techniques to their sketch. The students enjoy their time drawing their favorite idols. ***
