Secondary 3 – Physics: Alternative Energy for human living.
Learning about energy, Secondary 3 wrapped the end of the learning by suggesting alternative energy for the communities living in certain areas. Students conveyed their ideas through the videos and posters to inform people about alternative energy. First, they collected information from various sources to find out about the energy crisis in some areas. They found out facts that many areas needed alternative energy to support human life. Next, the students demonstrated various alternatives to replace non-renewable energy in those areas. They offered alternative energy: biomass, biogas, geothermal, hydro energy, etc.
This activity developed the students’ communication and critical thinking as they worked on the project. It was fun and engaging learning. The students look forward to experiencing their next Physics project. ***
