Secondary 3: One Moment In Time

Secondary 3 students kicked off their OMIT (One Moment In Time) for a 2-day, 1-night trip to Yogya with an exciting journey by using the KRL (Commuter Line). The comfortable and scenic ride set a cheerful tone for the adventure ahead. Their first day was packed with thrilling and cultural experiences. The group began with a fun session at the Gocart track, where students raced each other and enjoyed the excitement of high-speed driving in a safe environment. Afterwards, they made their way to Pakuwon Mall for lunch, shopping, and a bit of relaxation.

After that, they headed straight to Kotta Go Hotel, a modern and cosy accommodation that provided a welcoming place to rest and recharge. After checking in and settling down, they were ready to explore the vibrant city and make the most of their short but meaningful stay. Later in the afternoon, they explored the charming area of Prawirotaman, known for its artsy vibe, unique cafes, and boutique shops. As evening approached, the students visited the iconic Malioboro Street, where they enjoyed the local street food, shopped for souvenirs, and soaked in Yogya’s lively night atmosphere.

The second day began with a visit to Brewing Cafe, where the students enjoyed breakfast in a cosy and aesthetic setting. The café offered a calm environment for them to relax and chat before continuing their activities. Next, they headed to Roller Pop, a popular indoor roller-skating venue where they had a blast skating together, trying new tricks and laughing through their slips and spins. The activity was both energetic and entertaining, adding a unique touch to their Yogya experience.

To wrap up their trip, the students visited Ambarukmo Plaza, one of Jogja’s most well-known shopping malls. There, they spent their remaining time browsing stores, enjoying snacks, and purchasing last-minute items before preparing to head home. The visit to the mall was a perfect way to cool down after two days of non-stop fun. It was a short trip, but one filled with excitement, connection, and new memories. ***
