Secondary 2 – Physics: Prove Density and find out which substances dissolve quickly

Secondary two students learned to prove which substance dissolved in the water. Water, ice, and oil were used to prove it. They did observation to fill the first Erlenmeyer flask full of water, the second half water and half oil, and the third full of oil. Put the ice on each Erlenmeyer flask. The experiment showed that the ice in the first Erlenmeyer flask melted quickly. The second Erlenmeyer flask melted more slowly, and the third Erlenmeyer flask was still intact. This activity engaged students’ communication and critical thinking as they worked in groups. They were so enthusiastic about doing this experiment. ***
