Secondary 2 – Maths and Bahasa Indonesia: Mini Research
After studying the concept of Data Collection Methods in Mathematics and Artikel Ilmiah Populer in Bahasa Indonesia, Secondary 2 students carried out a collaborative project. In this project, students were asked to conduct small researches about their school and then report the results of the researches in the form of Artikel Ilmiah Populer. 3 topics were chosen: The effectiveness of the FIS reading programme, the FIS learning environment and the completeness of the school facilities.
The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire. The data collection methods used were: population, random sampling, systematic sampling and stratified sampling. The questionnaires were distributed to the FIS students. After they collected the data, it was sorted, arranged, analysed and presented by the students in the form of articles Ilmiah Populer so that it becomes useful information for readers and researchers. They also presented the results of their research to school leaders in a confident, coherent and systematic manner.
Students have gained meaningful learning experience through this project. Through this project, students will become more logical in expressing their ideas both orally and in writing. Let us give a big applause to the S2 students. ***
