Secondary 2 – Biology: Urinalysis
Today, Secondary 2 had an experiment about urinalysis. A urinalysis is a test of your urine. It is often done to check for urinary tract infections, kidney problems, or diabetes. On this occasion, they tested someone’s urine who suffered from diabetes. The purpose was to prove that the urine contains glucose/sugar. They use Benedict’s solution as the reagent for testing the urine. After dropping the urine in the test tube, they added the reagent and heated it for 3 minutes. The indicator was the color change into yellow. They were amazed by the result and happy during the experiment. ***
