Secondary 2 – Biology: Skeletal System

Secondary 2 students learned the human skeletal system. They used a human skeletal torso to identify the name of each bone. In the learning process, they did not only learn from the teacher but also from their friends. They tried to memorize the names of the bones by identifying their location using the torso.

In this activity, students learned about the function of bones, the types of bones, and bone formation. They helped each other to memorize it by mentioning the name of the bone in different locations from the torso. Having collaboration in the learning process can boost their motivation and engage more to the lesson.

Besides, identifying human bones can be very beneficial for students, such as making it easier to learn how bones support movement, protect organs, and store minerals. This knowledge are also useful to understand injuries like fractures or joint pain as well as how to prevent them.

Building a knowledge foundation is crucial for further studies and also supports students to be more aware and prepared for the things that happen in their lives in the future.
