Secondary 1 – Visual Arts: Seeing Like an Artist
Secondary 1 Visual Arts students stepped outside the classroom to unlock a core creative power: “Seeing Like an Artist!”
Exploring the campus grounds, students hunted for shapes, colors, and textures in everyday objects. Exercising critical thinking, each artist carefully selected an item that offered just the right level of challenge to draw. They then carefully analyzed structural forms and textures, translating real-world details into expressive sketches.
By connecting direct observation with hands-on drawing, students discovered that art begins with how you look at the world. This engaging session built key observation skills, creative confidence, and a strong foundation for their upcoming projects!
