Secondary 1 – Visual Arts: Curation

Secondary 1 students learnt about Curation, where they were selecting, analysing and organising their own artworks through the Arts gallery inside the class. The students divide their creation into 2 themes, they were Abstract and Semi-Abstract. Then, teacher and students were having reflection about their final creations.

The Curation process was continued with exploring all the creation made by the students. They were identifying the creation with their own point of view and they also share feedback of things that make the creation deserve to be displayed in the gallery.The Curation activities were set to give experiences to students to picking up or choosing the creation that fulfilled the qualification of good Abstract and Semi-Abstract creation.

Otherwise, it also time for them to show respect, expressing feelings and realizing the aspects that can make their creation better. The role as a Curator made the students understand that artworks also need revision as a process of room for improvement. It also taught them to have braveness to share their opinion, suggestions as part of learning process to make them better and better. ***
