Secondary 1 – Physics: Measurement Length and Mass

Secondary 1 students did their simple experiment about measurement. They experimented with measuring length, measuring how tall the teachers at secondary school were using a stadiometer, and measuring the distance between the class and the schoolyard using a tape measure. In this activity, students also measured how far their friend jumped using a measuring tape.

They also experimented with measuring the mass of the objects using a tool, namely a spring balance. In this activity, they tried to measure the mass of a plastic bag filled with water, and then they measured it by weighing the mass of water using a spring balance. This activity engaged students’ learning activeness as they worked. It was fun, and they looked forward to their next Physics experiment. ***
