Secondary 1 – Physics : Longitudinal Wave and Transverse Wave
Secondary-1 students had an experiment to prove the types of waves used in the water. They proved using a tray, pebble, and water. They did observation to make the two waves, such as longitudinal and transverse waves. Based on the observation, water, and tray could make a longitudinal wave by shaking it. The water and tray could make a transverse wave by dropping the pebble to the water’s surface. This activity triggered students’ critical thinking and communication skills as they worked in groups. It was fun. They looked so very excited about doing this experiment. ***
