Secondary 1 – Maths: Active and Engage

In Maths lesson, Secondary 1 students learn about the concept of fractions. Teacher started the discussion by explaining the concepts through samples of problem solving. Then, students were given a chance to solve a question under teacher’s support ensuring them to fully grasp the concepts before moving on.

Students were continuously stimulated by working on additional exercises to further reinforce their understanding. Once their work had been completed and checked, they got the opportunity to become teacher’s assistants, deepening their own understanding by helping other students learning those concepts. The class were so supportive where they could discuss and help each other. Everyone contributed to the learning process, making the environment collaborative and inclusive.

Through peer learning, students are encouraged to communicate, collaborate and show respect to one another. This approach fosters a positive learning atmosphere where students grow together academically and socially. ***
