Secondary 1 – LeaPro: Ask Tons of question with ATMI
As part of this semester’s learning project, students from Secondary 1 visited ATMI Polytechnic (Akademi Teknik Mesin Industri). Energy efficiency is the theme of LeaPro, and alternative energy was the topic of this visit. Alternative energy is needed to save electrical energy, as the students learned from PLN in the previous session.
Mechatronics study programme as the institution to study because they have one of the alternative energy suitable for use in Indonesia. Solar panels were the subject of discussion in this activity. Students, accompanied by lecturers and practitioners, are given energy material, such as in physics lessons at school, before they study and practice assembling simple solar panels. Each group was accompanied to a hands-on workshop to practise directly assembling a simple solar panel circuit. They warmly helped the students to learn the practice of using solar panels. The students looked so enthusiastic and curious to participate in the field trip. ***
