Secondary 1 – Chemistry: Digital and Experimental Labs of Diffusion
Secondary 1 scientists put particle movement to the test by combining cutting-edge digital simulations with hands-on physical experiments!
At the Harvard Lab, students engaged with interactive digital models—observing liquid particle motion, food coloring dispersal, and cross-divider particle diffusion—before drafting individual scientific reports. Meanwhile, at the Nanyang Lab, student teams observed food coloring spreading through real water in real time, collaborating to record data and construct group reports complete with scientific descriptions, explanations, and conclusions.
By bridging digital simulations with real-world lab tests, S1 mastered the mechanics of diffusion while sharpening their data analysis and scientific reporting skills!
