Primary Program

At Focus Independent School (FIS), the Primary Program is designed to help students grow not only academically, but also
as confident, thoughtful, and engaged learners. Learning extends beyond the classroom through meaningful experiences
that connect knowledge and skills to real life. A Dual-Curriculum Approach The FIS Primary Program combines the Cambridge Curriculum with the Indonesian National Curriculum. This approach brings together an international learning framework with the knowledge, values, and learning requirements of the national education system. The Cambridge Curriculum supports students in building knowledge and understanding, developing transferable skills, and gaining confidence to thrive in different environments. It also encourages students to make a positive impact, beginning within their own community.

Learning Beyond the Classroom
The Primary Program focuses on three interconnected areas:

  • Strong academic foundations and core values
  • Emotional growth and problem-solving skills
  • Engaging projects that connect learning to real life
Through projects, collaborative activities, and real-world learning experiences, students are
encouraged to apply what they learn, explore ideas, solve problems, and understand how their
learning relates to the world around them.
At FIS, the Primary experience is about growing beyond the classroom—building the knowledge,
skills, values, and confidence students need to continue learning and contribute meaningfully to
    the communities.
