Primary 6: Visualizing Geomy’s Article Competition Day
Geomy is here, and we are ready to compete. Before the competition started, the teachers read the rules and scoring rubric. Students had made a recap and taken note of the Geomy’s Article they’ve chosen. They sat with their pen and markers and were ready to tackle the task.
Students worked on the competition wholeheartedly. Some of them needed to re-read the article and some of them could directly make the visualization. Each student pictured the article differently, reflecting their style. Some students chose to make a comic panel, while some of them translated the article into a poster. They were reminded to use mostly pictures to deliver the information they found in the article.
The final works are scored based on the understandability of the article content, the visualization accuracy, the clarity of information, and the readability of the visual. The judges are Ms. Cara, Ms. Mila, and Ms. Ratih. Students tapped into their creative minds as well as tried to manage their time wisely. Students who were able to maximize those two aspects could finish the competition with flying colors. ***
