Primary 6 – Mathematics: Knowing the Properties of Circles
Today, P6 students learnt a new topic about circles. They were introduced by the properties of circles, such as centre, radius, diameter and circumference. To get a deeper understanding, students have an activity in groups.
They prepared a circular thing around them such as coin, foam tape, cap of a bottle, and many more then measured the radius, diameter and circumference of the things that they brought. Students used a ruler or measuring tape to measure the radius and diameter of the circular things then used a small rope to measure the circumference of them.
They engaged to the activity well because they could easily know the properties of a circle by observing and measuring the properties directly. ***
