Primary 6 – IPC: Making Blood Circulatory Model
Following the previous materials about Musculoskeletal System, P6 students also got a chance to learn about Blood Circulatory System. The materials were still related to the IPC’s main theme: Being Human. Previously, they had learned about the heart at a glance in semester 1.
They knew that the heart pumps blood to the lungs and the rest of the body. From that prior knowledge, students strengthened their knowledge about the heart part and its functions by making their blood circulatory models. Before doing the task, students should individually explain the blood’s journey to the teacher. Students presented the journey of blood correctly by mentioning the heart chambers.
After that, students made blood circulatory models based on the knowledge they had known and the feedback given by the teacher. Through the model, students had a better understanding of blood’s journey and could differentiate the oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor blood. ***
