Primary 5 – Visual Arts: 1-Point Perspective
Primary 5 students were asked to draw 1-point perspective artwork. It was a creation that produced illusion and 3D dimensional of objects from biggest to smallest as they were further away. The theme was buildings on rainy days. At the beginning of the lesson, they learned about the basic techniques to draw this creation. There were some steps that they had to follow:
* Make the horizontal line.
* Put the vanishing point in the middle of the horizontal line.
* Draw more lines to connect to the vanishing point.
* Draw the objects inside the lines with details on it.
* Clean the lines after the objects are formed.
Then, they were asked to bold the sketch using a drawing pen. As the finishing, they color it with colored pencils. The students were excited to follow the lesson and succeed in applying the techniques well into their sketches. ***
