Primary 5 – Maths: Pop Quiz
In Maths class, students learned mathematical concepts comprehensively. The teacher conducted various formative assessment models such as pop-quiz or quizzes to confirm students’ understanding of the Maths concept.
This time, the pop quiz was conducted differently. It was designed in the form of a game. The teacher prepared 20 questions on five different colors of cards. Students were asked to answer five questions from 5 different colors. The teacher gave 7 minutes for students to answer the questions in each round. Then, they returned the cards and chose a new card with a different color. Through this activity, children could experience a pleasant assessment without compromising the purpose of the assessment itself. ***
