Primary 5 – Maths: 3D Shapes

P5 students had an activity to learn about 3D shapes in mathematics. First they looked at 3D shapes such as: cube, rectangular, pyramid, triangular prism, tetrahedron and tried to find the characteristics of each 3D shape which are faces, vertices and edges.

The learning continued by exploring the meshes of a cube. With the teacher’s guidance, they tried to make different meshes of a cube with a piece of paper. Through this activity they were able to see the nets of a cube and make them themselves. They did a great job this time. ***
