Primary 5 – L-Fest: Making 3D model of Earth’s Orbit

In L-Fest week, students made the 3D model of Earth’s orbit as their final celebration in Science Class. This activity is aimed to confirm students’ understanding about Earth’s orbit material.

At first, the students were divided into small groups. Then, teachers recalled the Earth’s orbit material and asked to share the facts of Earth’ s orbit. After that, teacher showed the example of Earth orbit model and asked them to make it with their own creation. To made the model, they needed to search the steps and the materials needed using internet, supervised by the teacher. They wrote it on the paper, then they discussed it in their group. On the next day, they made the Earth orbit model based on the planning they have made in the group discussion.

While making the Earth orbit model, the students tried their best in understanding and following the planning they have made. It became a challenge because they needed to cooperate each other to make their 3D model successfully even though some of their notes was difficult to follow. Through this activity, they could experience many things, for example, solving the problem, following the instruction, gaining skill of cooperation and flexibility. ***
