Primary 5 – L-fest: Calm and Focus in Yoga Session

A peaceful atmosphere settled over Indonesia room as P5 students participated in a calming and refreshing yoga session guided by Coach Jeka. This activity is one of the ways to expose the importance of having healthy lifestyle. Besides, this activity also introduced them to the basic of yoga as an exercise that promotes flexibility, balance, focus and relaxation.

Coach Jeka led the students through various beginner friendly poses. He explained that yoga helps children develop self control and inner calm. P5 students followed along attentively, enjoyed the chance to stretch, breathe deeply and unwind. They felt relaxed and happy after the session. Morevoer, yoga also helped students have clear mind.

Instead of the usual high energy routines, students experienced a slower paced session that emphasized on breathing techniques, gentle stretching and body awareness. They could also get the benefit from slowing down and tuning which is taking care of both their bodies and minds.

Furthermore, students will be able to manage stress and build their focus by having the mindfulness activity. It is expected that they can build their awareness in having healthy lifestyle to their daily life by having yoga or other physical exercises. ***
