Primary 4 – Stopover: Explore Your Fabolous Self

P4 students celebrated learning through a Stopover which was conducted on Friday, February 21st until Saturday, February 22nd, 2025 at FIS Primary School. Stopover was done to give a moment for the students to retreat, evaluate and recapture the value their personal improvement. During Stopover, P4 students spent some times together at school. They also joined activities inside and outside the school area, such as going to a traditional market.

Before that, P4 students were trained and assisted to prepare themselves for Stopover. They were assigned in groups. Along with the group, they discussed the plans for choosing the menu, shopping the groceries, cooking the menu and preparing the group performance. The students were free to design the times for discussion.

P4 students learnt how to deal with challenges, work cooperatively and compromise with differences through the preparation process. P4 students carried these values when they shopped at Pasar Jongke. They learnt how to be flexible when the items needed were not available. Expressing the ideas confidently and showing self-control were also shown during Character Building activities. They tried respect others’ point of view. The students also learnt how to be responsible as well as punctual in achieving the target during cooking dinner.

Through P4 Stopover, the students practiced not only the basic life skills but also the important values. Skills and values will be needed to face the real life. Furthermore, the outcome of this activity will be applied to their life in the future, as a student as well as a person.
