Primary 4 – Science: How Does Light Travel?
In Science, Primary 4 students learned about the properties of light. They learned that light travels in a straight line. In the activity, students experimented to prove that light travels in a straight line. They placed 3 cardboard cards in a straight line with a hole in the middle of each card. Then, they shone a torch through the holes. Students observed how the light travels. After that, they moved one of the cards slightly aside. They observed how the light traveled one more time with the adjustment made.
Students went all out to adjust the cards with the holes in a straight line. They had to deal with the challenges when experimenting but at the same time felt very excited. They learned how to overcome challenges in a fun and meaningful way. ***
