Primary 4 – Maths: Shape City Project

Primary 4 – Maths: Shape City Project

On Monday, 20 October 2025, Primary 4 students worked in groups to build their own Shape City. This was part of a fun Maths project where they used 2D and 3D shapes to make buildings, roads, and other parts of a town. Each group made a different kind of city using shapes they learned about in class.

Before the project day, students made a plan. They decided what kind of town they wanted to build, which 3D shapes to use, and what materials they needed like paper, glue, and scissors. They also chose who would bring each item to school. This helped them get ready and work smoothly on the day of the project.

During the activity, students worked together to cut, fold, and build their towns. They used Maths words like “edges” and “faces” and helped each other solve problems. Teachers saw students using their Maths skills in a fun and creative way.

This project helped students learn more about shapes and teamwork. It made Maths more exciting and showed how shapes are used in real life. Students also practiced planning, sharing ideas, and working as a team which are the important skills for learning and growing. ***
