Primary 4: Folding Clothes and Tying Shoelaces for Students’ Practical Skill
Folding clothes or tying shoelaces may seem like ordinary things. But if we don’t practice it, it can be something complicated. In the after-FE activities, P4 students had some practice in tying their shoelaces and folding their clothes. Some students knew how to do it correctly. However, not all of them could do it properly.
They struggled and were confused at first. But when they had peer learning, the students who could already fold the clothes or tie the shoelaces could guide the others to do it properly. Through the activities, the students also implemented the concept of a growth mindset that they had learned earlier, which is about not giving up easily and trying more than once. ***
