Primary 4 – English: Wonders of Nusantara Show

P4 students had an unforgettable show, Wonders of Nusantara. The “Wonders of Nusantara” was a captivating play celebrating Indonesia’s folklore. They performed stories like Malin Kundang, Bawang Merah Bawang Putih, and Timun Mas. The show was the result of incredible effort and creativity.

The students started by learning about the features of a playscript, then they made their own playscripts. After that, they created all the props and costumes by themselves by using the things they could find at home and school. They practiced tirelessly, working on their body gestures, expressions and overall performance skills to ensure every scene was captivating.

Having learning experience through play performance is very important for students because it boosts students’ self-confidence and creativity. Beyond gaining knowledge of playscripts features, students explore other skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication and time management. They develop confidence, creativity, emotional intelligence and the ability to empathize with others by stepping into different roles.

Furthermore, this activity fosters positive learning behaviours, such as collaboration, discipline and adaptability. It encourages students to connect with their peers and the material in a meaningful way, making learning memorable and impactful.

Bravo to our young stars for an inspiring and mesmerizing show!
