Primary 4 – English: Poetry Reading
Our Primary 4 poets brought descriptive language to life during their Unit 3 exploration of Poems That Use Imagery!
After investigating how rhyme, similes, alliteration, and sensory imagery make poetry pop, the young authors gathered word banks of sights, sounds, and feelings to craft their own six-line masterpieces. On Monday, 12 October, students took center stage for a poetry-reading showcase under the empowering banner, “As brave as a lion, we read with confidence!” With clear projection, expressive tone, and precise pronunciation, P4 proudly recited their decorated works before using reflection rubrics to target future speaking goals.
By combining creative writing with public performance, P4 strengthened imagery techniques, artistic self-expression, vocal confidence, and self-reflective evaluation!
