Primary 3 – Outing Class: Let’s Travel with Mayapada Bus!
On Friday, May 17th, 2024, P3 students got a chance to travel around Surakarta using Mayapada bus. The activity was started by sharing about the activities and the rules. Then at 08.00, the bus came to pick the students at school.
The first stop was Ngarsopuro. On the way there, the students observed some iconic places such as Loji Gandrung, Sriwedari, Museum Radya Pustaka and Museum Danar Hadi. Upon arriving in Ngarsopuro, the students listened to the tour guides about tourist destinations in that area, such as Pasar Triwindu and Pura Mangkunegaran. At Pasar Triwindu, the students got a chance to walk around the market and see the items sold in that market. The students were very enthusiastic and curious when they walked around the market. They also got hands-on exercise related to the material exposed throughout the outing. At 9, the students continued the journey to Balaikota. On the way to Balaikota, they observed some tourist destinations such as Benteng Vastenburg and Pasar Gedhe.
The student ended their mini trip by having the rest of city tour around Surakarta. They were able to confirm their understanding in IPC about tourist destinations and domicile as well as public transportation to build awareness for a green travelling in Bahasa Indonesia. ***
