Primary 3 – Maths: A Day in My Life, Making Timetable Mini Project
Primary 3 students explored the concept of time in fun and practical ways. They practiced reading both analogue and digital clocks, discussed which units of time are suitable for different activities in their daily routines, and learnt how to calculate time intervals.
To put their learning into practice, the students created a mini project titled “A Day in My Life”. With support from parents at home, students discussed their daily activities, then added start and end times. At school, they calculated the time intervals. They also decorated their work to make it neat, colourful, and creative.
During class presentations, students explained their timetables clearly and confidently, while their classmates listened respectfully. This experience encouraged them to think carefully about how to manage their time effectively.
Through the mini project, students not only improved their skills in reading and using time, but also developed planning habits, responsibility, and confidence in sharing their ideas. By designing and presenting their timetables, they showed how mathematics can be applied meaningfully to real-life situations. ***
