Primary 2 – Orientation: First Day of School

Yeay! P2 students came back to school on 18th July and started the orientation week. The school hours were shorter than regular school hours. They started the activity at 7.30 sharp. The first activity was writing journals and continued by introducing the Primary 2 teachers.

Students had known some of the teachers since previously they had PTM session with their parents and classroom teachers. So, when they had a game to guess the name of the teacher, they could do it easily. To make the teacher easier recognise them, they also made ID cards. They decorated the ID cards as they wanted. The activity continued by having zumba and some fun games with Coach Jeka. They listened to Coach Jeka carefully. Some of them lost and some others became winners. Yet, all of them were having fun.

From those activities, they knew their new teachers, new classmates and recalled the rules they have to obey at school. Those activities were done by the students to prepare them to have more joyful days in Primary 2. It built students’ confidence and awareness of their surroundings. It became a very meaningful experience for the students. Then, students ended the first day of school with smiles on their faces, showing their excitement for the upcoming agenda. What a great come back! ***
