Primary 2 – LeaPro: Happy Teeth Happy Me (Day 3 and 4)
Primary 2 students had a fun and busy day as they continued working on their “Happy Teeth, Happy Me” project. They discussed what they learnt from their interview with EY2 students, like brushing teeth twice a day, eating less sugary food, and visiting the dentist at least once in six months. These discussions helped them get ready to share what they know with confidence.
In the Understand the Problem phase, the students talked about how being brave and clear helped them ask good questions and learn better during the interview. They worked together to think of fun ways to share their ideas, like telling stories, role-plays, and playing games. They discussed these ideas in groups and started getting ready to tell EY2 students about taking care of their teeth.
During the Navigate Ideas phase, the students started planning their sharing sessions. They split into smaller groups to focus on different jobs. Some students wrote scripts for plays or presentations, others planned games and some of them made costumes and properties needed. Everyone worked together to make sure their sessions would be fun and easy to understand for the EY2 students.
At the end of the phase, the students talked about what they remember most from the sharing with their groups and which ideas they liked best. These activities not only boosted their excitement and confidence but also helped them develop important skills such as teamwork, creativity, and clear communication. By working together, they learnt how to plan and share ideas in a way that makes learning fun for everyone. ***
