Primary 2 – L-Fest: Keep Your Hands to Yourself
P2 students are learning about keeping their hands to themselves during L-Fest. One of the activities is letting students know the boundaries when they are playing and having activities with their friends at school such as they should help their friends who get injured and not pull someone’s hair through video, discussion, and reflection.
The activity began with watching a video that explained a case that happened if they used their hands without being careful. The students also had a self-reflection on how they tried to control their hands and body movements so far as part of showing respect. More than that, they also reflected on the reason why they should keep their hands to themselves by coloring a picture that showed an example of it.
Through watching the video, reflection, and coloring, the students were reminded and asked to see on whether they have already respected others during class activity, playtime, or daily routine at school. After having the session, students can remind each other to be careful and respectful to their friends during their playtime and daily routine at school.
Sharing the knowledge and allowing students to reflect about keeping their hands to themselves is directed to improve students’ behavior and awareness in the future. It is expected to help students practice respect for their friends and teachers as well as stay safe during playtime and daily routine in the school. ***
