Primary 2 – English: Poem Reading Practical Test

Our P2 students had a practical English Topic Test on Thursday, April 24th, 2025. This time, the students explored the fun and interesting side of poetry through Eletelephony, where they played with language by combining words to create silly, rhyming poems.

With guidance from the teacher, they crafted their own original verses that sparked laughter and imagination. To prepare for the test, they practiced at home with their parents and at school under the teacher’s supervision. They learned not only how to read their poems fluently but also how to bring them to life using expressive tone, facial expressions, and body gestures. On the test day, each student performed their poem in front of the class while being recorded—a special moment that captured both their speaking and creative skills.

All students performed wonderfully, showing great enthusiasm in reading their own poem. Their efforts and improvements were clearly visible, making the event a joyful and successful learning experience for everyone. This experience not only deepens their understanding of language arts but also builds their confidence and communication skills, which will benefit them in future academic presentations and everyday interactions. ***
