Primary 1 – English: Poem Compilation
It was amazing to learn poems with P1 students. They shared their ideas about the weather enthusiastically in the form of poems. In the first meeting, they were challenged to share their feeling on a rainy day. Next, they tried to share their ideas about sunny days. They were challenged to make the lines rhyme. For even further, they also shared the activities that they might do on a snowy day. Lastly, the students were challenged to create a poem about something nice that fell from the sky instead of water, such as chocolate, cakes, pies, sweets, or flowers. From this activity, students applied their knowledge about rhyming words, someone’s feelings, and also verbs in their poems. At the end of the unit, they arranged their poems into POEMS COMPILATION. ***
