Nursery – Learning Project Launch: The Enormous Turnip
After designing and creating their own version of The Enormous Turnip story, Nursery students were given an opportunity to present their work in front of their classmates. To extend the experience further, they also gave a simple presentation to the reading coaches.
It was truly heartwarming to see their enthusiasm and confidence as they shared their stories aloud. Even more impressively, the students were able to answer simple questions—explaining the steps they took to create their dioramas and describing the details of their unique story versions.
This experience provided a meaningful opportunity for students to enhance their communication skills, develop critical thinking, and most importantly, boost their self-confidence through real, purposeful audience engagement. ***
